SOUNDINGS OF SOCIAL REALITY

ist eine eine subjektive Kollektion historischer und gegenwärtiger Ansätze zum Vermessen von sozialer Realität mittels soundscapes und  field recordings. 
Das Material dazu stammt großteils aus unserer Recherche zu "Copenhagen Soundscape" (http://www.kunstradio.at/2003A/23_02_03.html). Mit dem Kompendium wollen wir auch einen Zwischenbericht und eine Quellenkunde zu verschiedenen Audioarbeiten erstellen, an denen wir in den letzten Jahren - v.a. noch im Rahmen des Kollektivs wr - beteiligt waren: bordersounds, John Moss, etc.: Linien zeichnen, Kontinuitäten darstellen.

Das Kompendium besteht aus einem Reader und einer CD mit Audiotracks und einem Datentrack mit pdf's.

SOUNDINGS OF SOCIAL REALITY

is a subjective collection of historical and contemporary approaches of mapping social reality through soundscapes and field recordings. 
The material was mostly researched for our project Copenhagen Soundscape (http://www.kunstradio.at/2003A/23_02_03.html). Through this publication we want to give an interim report and a bibliographical reference to audioworks we have been involved in over the last years (within the collective wr): bordersounds, John Moss, etc.: to draw lines, to represent continuities.

The compendium consists of a reader and a CD with audiotracks and full-length texts on a data-track.
