JOAN MOSS IN A NUTSHELL IN SHORT: on radio orange the first monday to tuesday night every month, midnight CET (if the new month starts on tuesday, it's the next week) livestream from radio orange: http://www.orange.or.at/radio/live/live.m3u or: http://www.mp3.at/playlists/orange.m3u chat: irc.quakenet.eu.org -> /j #johnmoss STREAM: (os x) - download macamp lite x 1.1 -> http://www.macamplite.com/downloads/MacAmpLiteX.dmg.sit - download icecast -> http://macosx.forked.net/download.php?j=http://macosx.forked.net/p/icecast- 1.3.11.pkg.tgz - install both programs - open macamp and go for the 'broadcasting readme' in the help menu - install icecast as descibed in the 'broadcast readme' in the section 'setting up a local icecast server'. (note that in our experience, point 9) is not necessary/didn't work...) - then follow the steps in the next section to configure macamp for streaming via icecast - for checking locally if everything worked out fine, open the url http://localhost:8000/admin in a browser and look for your stream under 'sources' or be funny and try the url 'http://localhost:8000' in itunes and experience a local streaming delay... - pickup via any mp3-player via the adress: "YOUR_IP":8000 CHAT: (os x) 1. download Snak 4.9.3 (a pretty decent irc client): http://www.snak.com/files/Snak.sit or use mozilla/chatzilla if you have it. 2. follow the step-by-step installation. use "irc.quakenet.eu.org" or "irc.quakenet.org" to join a QuakeNet server. 3. when youre connected to the server, type: "/j #johnmoss" in the dialog box (without the ""-marks) to join the #johnmoss channel.
